I have been using the Super Deck Water Sealants and Stains over the past twenty years. More exclusively, I have been using these products for about ten years. I love this product, because I can find the stain anywhere in the country. At Southern Home, we use these products because they provide vibrant colors and protect the wood very well. This deck in Wyndham West was cleaned and stained using CWF UV5, one of the highest rated sealants available. Special ordered for my clients, here are the beginning steps. Cleaned it with a wood-cleaning solution. Now, we begin to seal with CWF UV5.

 

The deck is almost 900 square feet and cost the client little to have the deck cleaned and then hand-painted, about $1000. Materials additional. Quite a bargain. It took three men eight hours to almost complete. Tomorrow, you will see the finished results.

This was a project! This deck looked pretty rough when we first arrived to clean this wood deck. Then, to beautify the deck, we used Cabot solid stain with a rich red color, chosen by the customer. I love the way it turned out. This deck took two gallons of solid paint to help in covering the white pickets. Money well spent.

Protect your investment by removing mold and mildew stains from your concrete surface and then sealing those surfaces with a 30 weight Concrete sealant. I like a product called Sonneborn. A.H. Harris makes a wonderful product as well. 

What is the significance of cleaning concrete and sealing it? Well, for one, it makes the surface look clean and new, and the shiny look is better than new! But more important, it prevents moisture from seeping into the concrete where during the winter months, freezing moisture within your concrete can cause it to crack. 

Sealants come in various materials and various grades. The products with the highest sheen have the most protection and are the best choice and generally are petroleum-based. The other products are Acrylic and still seal the pores of the cement very well. 

This is a small driveway with an Aggregate finish. You can literally see the product on the surface. In these pictures, I have already cleaned the driveway, I am only applying the sealant with a brush and roller. It should last three years.

Wood Deck Cleaning and Staining in Richmond, Virginia 2023! We want to take advantage of nice weather to clean and stain a wooden deck in Chesterfield County. First, we will clean all wood thoroughly and use a high-concentrate bleach and detergent solution to clean the wood. 

If the deck is more than twenty years old and it has never been properly cleaned and sealed in years, it may be necessary to replace wooden boards and it may be necessary to clean the wood with special wood cleaning solutions to bring the gray wood back to a natural blond color. 

A special chemical can be applied to lighten the wood's appearance after the cleaning and at that time the deck can be assessed as to what product to use next.

Cabot solid stains are the very best. I have used a many different products and this is one of my favorites. It goes down easily. It paints like a real paint. It is strong and durable. 

A lot of time is involved in the preparation of work like this. The deck needs to be cleaned and stripped and then hand-painted. The quality of the final product is always beautiful.
